Game Jam Postmortem

This game was built during my first game jam ever. I've always shied away from game jams because I was very intimidated by them, but I had a wonderful experience building the game on my own during a restricted time frame, and felt really encouraged by the community associated with the jam as well.

It was really fun exploring a story based idea for the theme, because it was very different from everything I have worked on till date. Going about building it was very different as well, and I got to learn a lot while building the story, the characters, Cthulhu art etc. It is pretty short given the time limit, but I intend on adding more details sometime in the future, hopefully!

I also got a lot of feedback from people participating in the jam as well as others in the community, which helped me figure out the strengths and weaknesses of my idea. So from what I can understand so far:

What went right: Out of the box idea for the theme, choices that have actual consequences, varying story paths.

What went wrong: Story could be longer, lack of visuals for characters, font could be more easy on the eyes.

Potential future updates: Adding more scenes and characters to interact with after Andy (with visual cues and more sound maybe?), adding random hints to push the story along, changes in font and nervousness parameter execution.

Overall I had a really great first game jam! :)
